Our Visitation Team is available to minister to those inside and outside our church who need a caring and compassionate presence. Team members take time to listen, encourage people from God’s Word and pray for those who are in the hospital, on hospice, or who are unable to participate in Cornerstone Church ministries.

Cornerstone’s Meal Ministry provides meals for a limited period of time to those in the church family who are unable to prepare meals. The ministry delivers meals to families that have recently had a baby, lost a loved one, or have had a hospitalization or another serious medical condition. 

Cornerstone Pastors are available to offer free care and counseling on a limited, short term basis for members of the church family who are interested in pre-marriage counseling, marriage counseling, spiritual development and matters of personal struggle. Those interested can expect to receive prayer and a biblical perspective that will enlighten and encourage them.

Freedom in Christ Ministries is a Discipleship Counseling Ministry developed by Neil T. Anderson that is built around biblical and spiritual truths. It is aimed at those who are not experiencing growth or fruitfulness in their spiritual walk due to unbiblical thinking, feelings, and actions. The ministry walks participants through a biblical, moral and spiritual inventory that helps them to identify areas of growth and sanctification. By participating in the ministry believers are equipped to walk in truth and become more fruitful disciples of Jesus.

Cornerstone is blessed to have its own clinically and theologically trained counselor-in-residence, Doug Tweedy. Doug has a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Ministries from the Talbot School of Theology and he has been in group and individual practice since 1989. With over thirty years of experience, Doug has found great joy in working with clients to bring about their healing and restoration as they seek to live full and satisfying lives. He considers it a privilege to come alongside those who are hurting and help them find peace with God and with themselves.

DivorceCare is a nationally recognized program designed for those who are contemplating divorce, walking through one now, or seeking healing from a past divorce. DivorceCare is a small-group based experience that offers help, healing and community for those who are facing one of life’s most traumatic experiences. Cornerstone’s small groups are led by those who have also experienced the pain of divorce and found wholeness through a relationship with Christ. Groups meet weekly over a 13-week timeframe. Attendees may join an ongoing session at any point and participants often repeat the full curriculum as they continue to heal and grow.

Words can’t describe the loneliness one feels in the midst of grief, which is why the GriefShare ministry employs a 13-week small group experience. This series of seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. Through this ministry, you’ll gain access to valuable resources, tools and community that will help you to recover from your loss and rebuild your life. Loss of a Spouse (3 weeks) is also offered under the GriefShare ministry.

This ministry's purpose is to help you heal if you have been affected by the trauma of suicide loss. This class utilizes group therapy, scripture, prayer, and a specialized curriculum all while relying on God to bring healing. Groups meet weekly over a 12-week timeframe.
