CONNECTING WOMEN

Connecting Women offers opportunities for women of ALL ages and ALL walks of life to come together and engage in fellowship with a sense of belonging within the body of Christ. We aim to use these opportunities to foster a relationship with women who are more seasoned in their faith to come alongside someone who is newer in the faith. We also want to create an arena to invite other women who may not know the Lord to come join in activity that would be fun. The result of these organic relationships being formed, we are then able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Connecting Women is modeled by the Apostle Paul who says in 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 (NLT) “When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.”

“Though you have made me see troubles,
    many and bitter,
    you will restore my life again;
from the depths of the earth
    you will again bring me up.” Psalms 71:20

Kris has been married to Bob for 24 years and has a son, Luke, who is just finishing up his junior year at Point Loma Nazarene University. She spent 18 years in education as a teacher, coach and school administrator. She had the opportunity to be a stay at home mom while Luke was growing up. During that time she led bible studies, served in prayer and discipleship ministry and served as President of the Board at Precious Lamb Preschool for five years. Kris also worked at Lakewood Christian Schools for 5 years, and during that time had the joy of mentoring many college students on her staff. She currently serves on the Selection Committee at Cornerstone, leads a women’s bible study, and has just been certified as a chaplain with the Billy Graham Evangelical Association Rapid Response Team. She and her husband look forward to working together with Samaritan’s Purse and the Rapid Response Team. Kris loves anything that can be done outdoors. Connecting Women Coordinator

I am blessed to be serving our Lord and looking forward to bringing ladies together, building our relationships with one another in an organic setting, all while giving praise to our heavenly Lord and Savior.   We have plenty of unique activities in store for the 2023/2024 season.  Please join us!

My husband Ryan and I have been attending CCLB since 2012.  In my previous life, I was a lead Product Developer & Merchandiser/Marketer at an apparel manufacturer for over 22 years.  In 2013, I felt led to leave the industry to be a stay-at-home mom for my two sons: James (now 23) and Dylan (13). I’ve worked as a nursery lead for 8 years and absolutely love children.  I continue to volunteer at VBS where the Lord sees fit.  In addition, I am a somewhat new homeschooling parent to Dylan at Cornerstone Christian Academy on the CCLB campus which has thoroughly blessed our family.   I enjoy travelling, reading, family, all things related to design, and of course studying the word with my fellow Steadfast Sisters!
