Mission Spotlight - July 2025
Greater Reach Inc. (GRI)
GRI in Action: Reaching the Unreached, Healing the Broken
In regions deeply affected by war and spiritual darkness, GRI is equipping local believers to bring the hope of Christ. From war zones in South Sudan to remote refugee camps, they’re planting seeds of faith, healing, and transformation.
The Vision
To spark disciple-making and church-planting movements in every people group of Sudan and bring the Bible to every language spoken there.
Key Ministry: Jesus Impact School of Mission (JISM)
A six-month, Bible-based residential training for Sudanese Muslim-background believers. Contextual and character-focused, JISM has trained 375 leaders from 65+ tribes many now leading ministries in high-risk areas.
Bible Translation: A First for Many
For 11 unreached people groups, God’s Word is now within reach—some for the very first time.
GRI supports 106 translators, who have produced:
50 Bible stories (Genesis to Revelation)
40 discipleship lessons
28 books of the Bible fully translated
These materials fuel oral storytelling, church planting, and deep discipleship.
Emergency Relief: Hope for the Displaced
Through the Sudan Emergency Relief Ministry (SERM), GRI has provided food, shelter, and aid to over 571 displaced leaders and vulnerable families led by JISM graduates. New house churches are rising inside refugee camps.
Equipping Centers: Built to Multiply
GRI is building five Equipping Centers across South Sudan to expand and sustain training.
Yida Center (near Nuba Mountains): Already active with six translation teams and church plants. Clean water projects underway.
Aweil Center (near Darfur): Coming soon to reach even more unreached groups.
